Hearing aid batteries
Hearing aid batteries work best when they are stored in the right places
and at the right temperatures. It is because these batteries are so
important to those who wear hearing aids that there has been so much
research done on this topic.
Store hearing aid batteries at room temperature. Doing this will increase
their life. On the other hand, if you place them in warm temperatures,
their lives will shorten significantly.
It is also not recommended to refrigerate the batteries because doing
so could cause them to not work as well as they should. When carrying
around extra hearing aid batteries make sure that the batteries are
being stored properly.
If you carry these batteries loose in your pocket or purse, there could
be a possibility of a leak occurring if it comes into contact with another
metal object like keys or change. The best way to guard against this
is to simply leave unused batteries in their original packaging.
Hearing aid batteries are vital to the reliability of the hearing aid.
