Hearing protection
If you practice hearing protection while you are younger, then the
chances are that as you grow older you will be able to retain your hearing
pretty well. But, if you do not protect yourself while young, there
could definitely be problems in the future.
Some of the occasions where you may want to consider hearing protection
are:
• Concerts – After a few minutes at a loud concert, your
ears begin to adjust and it does not seem as loud as it once did. Do
not let this fool you. It is a fact that concerts are one of the things
that can really adversely affect your hearing for years down the road,
even if you can’t tell so currently.
• Sporting events – Some sporting events are louder than
others. Sometimes the decibel level even depends on how good the team
is doing. If you are planning on attending some kind of a sporting event,
it may not be a bad idea bring along some earplugs for precaution.
These are just a couple of places where hearing protection might be
valuable to you. If you want to make sure your hearing stays good, you
should always think about making sure you have the proper protection.
